Sony Music Entertainment signs Gyakie onto its RCA Label Group UK; its flagship UK record label under RCA Records.
Ghanaian Singer, Gyakie joins Beyoncé, Chris Brown, Alicia Keys, Usher, Shakira, Miley Cyrus, others on Sony Music’s RCA Records
RCA Label Group UK earlier today issued a statement on their Instagram handle, announcing how delighted they are to have Gyakie on the record label. Also, they took the opportunity to unveil and welcome the super talented young Ghanaian songstress into the RCA UK family.
Gyakie joins Beyonce, Chris Brown, Alicia Keys, Usher, Shakira, Miley Cyrus, and her Nigerian big brothers Wizkid and Davido on the label. Other superstars on the label include Mariah Carey, ASAP Rocky, Pentatonix, H.E.R. Justin Timberlake, Travis Scott, Lil Nas, Westlife, and Taylor Swift, who stayed only a year on the label.
Moreover, Gyakie emerged in the Ghanaian music industry barely a year ago but has reached incredible heights within this short space of time. She released an EP dubbed Seed, with groundbreaking hits like ‘Forever’, which appeared on the Billboard world charts for weeks.
Meanwhile, RCA Label Group UK has been the UK subsidiary of RCA Records since 1993. Therefore, Ghana music’s superstar, Gyakie joining them is such a major feat. Thus, apart from being one of a kind, it is a massive push to help break more boundaries with her music.
