Sony Music Publishing (SMP) India, today announced it has signed a worldwide agreement with Kannada’s leading music label Anand Audio.
“With the support of Kannada Music lovers, we are excited to partner with Sony Music Publishing to find greater monetization opportunities for our musical stakeholders,” said Anand Chabria, Owner, Anand Audio.
This move has the potential of being a watershed moment for the Kannada music industry.
With this new partnership, Sony Music Publishing, which recently announced the launch of its India office, will provide its world-class publishing, administration, and synchronization services to Anand Audio’s catalogue of songs. Sony Music Publishing will also work to deliver new, global opportunities to Anand Audio’s community of songwriters.

Anand Audio was founded in 1999, and in the last two decades has become one of the largest record labels representing Kannada music. It is one of the leading regional music labels in the country.
