B.C. is experiencing a record number of hospitalizations due to COVID-19, but that hasn’t dissuaded large groups from getting up close without masks on Vancouver beaches.

The latest example occurred on Saturday (April 17) night at English Bay. A video of another huge party was captured by Global News B.C. (See below.)

This came after a dance party was videotaped at Kitsilano Beach.

The event at English Bay is already prompting a heated response over social media.

“Why is this allowed?” tweeted retired nurse Dianne Farlinger. “So frustrating for those of us doing the right thing. Please Dr. Henry and Adrian Dix. Do something!”

Dr. Birinder Singh, who works at the REACH Community Health Centre, decried the “stunning lack of empathy” showed by the partiers, suggesting that their regrets will come in a few weeks.

Meanwhile, an Ontario nurse has sounded off against COVIDiots over social media, saying that she and others in health care are exhausted.

“We’re drained by the selfishness,” she said.
