Disney’s All-Star Music Resort to Undergo Construction

Disney’s All-Star Music Resort to Undergo Construction

Disney has slowly been reopening the many hotels and resorts that dot Walt Disney World Resort.

Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, one of the Value Resorts at Walt Disney World, has remained closed since Disney World reopened in July 2020 following its four-month pandemic-related closure.

Now, thanks to new permits we see that Disney has some work planned for the resort during its closure.

We have an entire guide on which Disney World hotels are closed and which are open. Unfortunately for fans of this Value Resort, Disney has not yet set a reopening date!

The reason that Disney’s All-Star Music may remain closed is that Disney is planning on doing some construction work around the Resort. We cannot confirm this, as Disney has not come out and given confirmation, but we can share some of these permits with you.

There are four permits in total that have been filed for All-Star Music and all of them are for general construction around the resort. You can view the permits from the links below:

“General Construction” is pretty vague, but we are excited to see how Disney will use the Resort’s downtime to make improvements.

Disney has not announced any retheming of the All-Star Music Resort or enhancements to the rooms, as we have seen with Disney do with other hotels and in Walt Disney World.

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is currently undergoing a massive refresh to include the characters from Moana. Disney’s Contemporary Resort is also seeing transformations of its rooms, and we also know there is some ongoing construction at Disney’s Beach Club as well.

We will have to wait and see what types of changes or enhancements were made when Disney’s All-Star Music Resort eventually reopens!

Disney describes All-Star Music as:

Let the rhythm move you at this Resort hotel that pays homage to some of the world’s most popular music genres, including country, jazz, rock ‘n’ roll, calypso and Broadway-style show tunes. Large-sized, music-inspired icons outside and subtle song-and dance surprises inside provide a harmonious setting for music lovers of all ages.
