Bad Wolves Confirm They Have Parted Ways With Frontman Tommy Vext
January 9, 2021
Bad Wolves frontman Tommy Vext has left the band.
According to a statement on Instagram, the singer and the group have parted ways.
“It is true that Bad Wolves and Tommy Vext have parted ways,” the statement began. “The four of us plan to continue making music and a new album is planned for later this year. Tommy has been a big part of Bad Wolves and we are grateful for his contributions.”
The band added, “There is not much else to report at the moment but send love and gratitude to the fans who have supported Bad Wolves from day one. We would not be here without you.”
According to a report from MetalSucks, the frontman went live on Instagram late Friday (Jan. 8) evening and announced his departure from the band and revealed that he is working on a solo album.
Vext said in his Instagram live that he felt his only option to leave the band as Vext claimed his conservative political views caused an irreconcilable schism with his bandmates and their record label, Better Noise (formerly Eleven Seven).
Bad Wolves are set to release the follow-up to their 2019 album, N.A.T.I.O.N. and is unclear when solo material from Vext will be released but it is in the works.
